Saturday Shopping

Spectacular views, isn't it? The above photos were taken by my housemate, Adeline, who went on a trekking trip today. She went with our UQ's mountain club to a mountain in Gold Coast. I would have joined her if the hike was not so long. It was 5 hours of trekking, which I'm sure I do not have the stamina to complete. I'm glad I lent her my camera so I end up enjoying the views too. Haha...
While Adeline was at the mountain trek and Jie Ying was out looking for a job, I went shopping. I know you all are thinking that I'm going to waste money again. Stop that thought. I did exercise a lot of self-control, you know. I only bought a Kingston 1GB Pen Drive, cotton buds, tea towels (for drying dishes) and a pillow. Currently, we are using the same cloth to wipe table tops, dishes, stoves etc. I try not to imagine the bacteria count on the cloth but I still cannot stomach the idea of eating anything out of the dishes that were wiped with the cloth. I might as well just lick the cloth! As for the pillow, it was to act in place of my bolster. I simply can't sleep well and feel so insecure without it. I can't find any bolster anywhere so I'm hoping the pillow can be a good substitute. Hmm... Sounds like I'm explaining my purchases right? Well, I am. I feel so guilty spending money but I did control myself from buying extravagances. Ok, I admit it. I bought a packet of potato chips also but in my case, that's considered a necessity. :b

Can you guess what that pot contains? It's curry chicken with potato and cabbage, cooked using a type of instant curry sauce. It doesn't taste like our normal curry, and the texture is a lot like Japanese curry. Initially, there's not much gravy and we have to add in a lot of water to achieve the soup base. No 'giam tow loh di' (尖头面包) here so we used baguettes instead.
