Ekka Holiday

Today is Ekka Holiday and it's a public holiday so there's no school. Woke up at 12 noon and felt very satisfied. After lunch, I had an one hour telephone conversation with one of my best friends, Sinn. Felt really good after that one hour bitching session.

There's something new for dinner again. My housemates bought a box of instant lasagne sheets and attempted to make our own.


Don't be mistaken, the lasagne was not burnt badly. The dark colour was the result of the chocolate milk we used to make the cheese sauce. The recipe asked for milk and we only have chocolate milk so... However, the lasagne sheets were still unacceptably hard after baking for around 40 minutes. I think the sauce was not moist enough for the lasagne sheets to soak and we did put too many sheets in one layer. The recipe instructed one sheet for each layer but we went and put 2 sheets instead. In the end, we had no choice but to dig out the hard lasagne sheets, add water and pasta sauce to it and microwaved.

And this is a cross-section of the lasagne we made. The layers were still too hard but we were too hungry by then to care. Luckily, we had toasted bread and garlic bread too.
